Established in 2015, the Scott D. & Rochelle Morris Matinee Fund supports the Merryman Performing Arts Center to annually present diverse local, regional, and nationally touring performances of theatre, music and dance for Kearney area K-12 students. In addition, these funds help support the opportunities for children and their parents and grandparents to attend family and youth-oriented performances by providing reduced price tickets.

Hop on the Magic School Bus for a ride in this new musical adaptation based on the original book series published by Scholastic.

In this original comedy, Paddington goes next door to borrow a cup of sugar from his neighbor Mr. Curry, who is in a panic because he’s expecting a visit from his Great Aunt Matilda. And so, Paddington volunteers to help Mr. Curry with his to-do list before her imminent arrival. For over 60 years, British-born writer Michael Bond has delighted children and families all over the world with his stories about Paddington. Paddington is popular with both children and adults who feel a deep affection and warmth towards him.

Inspired by the works of Pulitzer Prize-winning author Willa Cather and commissioned by the National Willa Cather Center, Henrietta Solway brings to life an exciting and heartfelt tale of ambition, sacrifice, and reconciliation in small towns, big cities, and vast landscapes.


Amirah Sackett

An internationally recognized hip-hop dancer, choreographer, and teacher, Amirah Sackett explores and embodies her Muslim American identity through combining hip-hop movement and Islamic themes. She is widely known for her creation of the choreography and performance group known as, “We’re Muslim, Don’t Panic”, which reached viral video fame. Sackett was honored to be a TEDx speaker, guest lecturer at Harvard University, and a cultural diplomat with the U.S. State Department in Bangladesh and Malaysia.
