Auditorium:
Total Seating Capacity: 760 permanent seats. Up to 40 temporary seats can be added. Wheelchair accessible spaces: 16. Standing room only capacity is 900 individuals.
Orchestra section:
-Seats 490 persons in three sections across.
-Accessible by two side aisles and two interior aisles (all 40” wide at narrowest point)
-Back wall of auditorium is 67’6” from curtain line.
-Auditorium main entrance is located at the center rear.
-Auditorium floor is 3’6” below stage floor at front of orchestra pit.
Balcony:
-Seats 270 persons in three sections across
-Aisles are 3’6” wide
-Balcony is 34’6” horizontally from curtain line.
-Access to balcony is 2 sets of stairs in the rear of the auditorium or the grand stairway from the
lobby to the balcony door on the house left side. Balcony is not wheelchair accessible.
Stage:
-Proscenium stage with small recessed covered orchestra pit.
-Stage floor is Masonite over maple painted flat black.
-Access from auditorium to stage is by steps far downstage right and left or by steps at the sides
of the orchestra pit. There are removable steps available from the aisles to the orchestra pit.
-Access to dressing rooms, rest rooms and gymnasium is from upstage center.
-Crossover/storage area is behind upstage wall. Clearance Height: 8’6”
-Dimensions: (Be aware that if equipment is planned to fit to close tolerances, designers and/or
the technical coordinator must verify all dimensions in the space.)

Orchestra Pit:
-Access to pit is steps at right and left sides leading to auditorium
-Pit floor to stage floor: 7’2”. Pit floor to pit ceiling: 6’0”. Pit floor to auditorium floor: 4’4”.
-Pit extends under stage 3’10”.
-Width of pit at center: 7’10”. Length of pit 42’4”.
-Stage lip to center of pit railing: 4’ at center, 1’6” at ends
Orchestra Pit Cover:
-Pit cover is has a steel frame covered with ¾” plywood and masonite, painted black.
-Two narrow steps both stage left and right. Additional steps available from aisles to pit cover.
-Downstage edge of pit cover to stage at center is 3’10” and at sides is 1’8”.
-Special Note: The pit cover is removable for performances, but only when all other options have been eliminated. Removal and re-installation is extremely labor intensive.
Orchestra Shell:
-Ceiling sections’ leading edges (downstage to upstage) trim at 17’1”, 14’8”, and 13’3”.
-Upstage tower sections are 17’3” high. Side tower sections are 18’3” high.
-Lower panels of side sections are hinged for use as a door. Maximum door width is 5’3”.
Choral Risers:
-5 rolling, folding four step risers
-2 rolling, folding three step risers
-6 collapsible three steps risers
Loading Area:
-Stage access is two ground level 8’ wide, 10’ high overhead doors.
-Hydraulic lift is built into floor inside east door for vehicles 8’ wide or less.
-Marshaling area between outside doors and stage is 25’0” to stage and 28’6” wide.
-Access to stage right is by overhead door 9’10” high by 11’10” wide.
-12’ clearance against the building due to low overhanging architecture.
Support / Other Spaces
Dressing Rooms:
-Total of 4 dressing rooms for approximately 28 people.
-Located in the hallway through the upstage door.
-Main floor dressing room with shower, toilet, sink, and makeup counter fits about 4 people. Other main floor dressing room with makeup counter fits about 6 people.
-Two upper floor dressings have the same features but are slightly larger.
-These rooms can be locked. MPAC staff and custodians have access keys.
Conference Room:
-Tables, chairs, sink, refrigerator, internet. Space for about 30. Located on the second floor.
Reception Hall:
-Access to the auditorium. Will seat about 150 people at 8 foot round tables or 178 people without tables. Limited kitchen access is available with prior arrangement.
-Monitor speakers provide sound from the auditorium and multiple microphone jacks are available and can be used without requiring use of the mixing console.
Fly System
-To be operated only by persons trained in the safe operation of a counterweight fly system.
-Manual single purchase steel counterweight system with 34 linesets.
-Battens are 1.5” ID pipe, 65’-6” long
-High trim: 33’-6”. Low trim: 5’-0”
-Locking rail and traveller sheaves are located Stage Left.
-Arbor capacity is 1200 pounds
-Counterweight loading gallery is 26’8”’ above stage floor.
